Fred H. Bixby Foundation The Bixby Foundation is dedicated to supporting field research concerning population growth and family planning. The VIDAII program has received several grants from the Bixby Foundation to fund research and implement projects in the community concerning women, pregnancy, and family planning issues. In addition, the Bixby Foundation funded a colloquium at SDSU entitled, Populations Growing: a Public Health Response to Growing Populations. The Bixby Foundation has awarded grants to VIIDAI in the following amounts:
Rotary Club
Amigos de los Californios Amigos de los Californios is a non-profit organization based in California that operates dental clinics in various villages in Baja California, Mexico. In 2007 Amigos de los Californios began partnering with the VIIDAI project. Through the generous efforts of the Amigos volunteer staff, Amigos de los Californios has provided dental services and supplies to many children during the Fall VIIDAI trips. More information: Amigos de los Californios Planned Parenthood Planned Parenthood has supplied SDSU students with Desert Inn Hotel and Resort The Desert Inn (formerly known as La Pinta Hotel and Resort) assists in housing about 200 staff and students for a three night stay in San Quintin at a discounted rate. They also supply all students and staff with prepared breakfast every morning. Tijiuana Medical Suppliers Various medical companies in Tijiuana Mexico supply UABC students with medical equipment and supplies. Supplies include items such as creams, cold and flu medicines, acetametaphine and aspirin. Toiletry supplies are also contributed such as lotions, shampoos, toothpaste and soaps. |
