The VIIDAI experience benefits everyone involved. The people of the colonias receive services not available to them otherwise. The students and faculty of UABC, SDSU, and UCSD leave the comforts of their homes, travel 500 miles, and work hard to help those in need. By the end of the trip, these participants have all been rewarded.
