Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC)

UABC established VIIDAI in 1981 by conducting a series of academic and research field trips to rural regions of Baja California and Sonora. It later expanded into the international collaborative public health field project it is today with the partnership of SDSU and UCSD.

San Diego State University (SDSU)

SDSU has been participating in VIIDAI since 1998 through the the Graduate School of Public Health. Over the time of SDSU's involvement with VIIDAI, other campus departments have also contributed to VIIDAI, including Latin American Studies & Anthropology.

rotaryRotary International

Several San Diego area Rotary Clubs have been contributing to VIIDAI since 2000. Their generous contributions include monetary donations that have funded a new elementary school kitchen, plus medical and dental supplies. Rotary Clulb members have also participated as volunteers on various VIIDAI projects. The Rotary Clubs currently involved with VIIDAI include:
